Flora and Fauna      
* Langtang National Park 32 Km North of Kathmandu Spring Ideal for Himalayan Wildlife & Bird Watching, including different kinds of bird of prey, snow-Patridges, Pheasants & other colourful birds as Robin Redstart,etc.
* Chitwan National Park Chitwan District Throughout the year One of the best national parks enlisted in the
 World Heritage Sites. It has a large concentration of Bengal tigers, one horned rhino,Bison, bear, Ghariyal & 489 Bird species.
* Sagarmatha National Park Solukhumbu District Throughout the year 1148 sq.km, wilderness area & consist of rich wildlife including Himalayan Tahr,ghoral,musk deer,weasel & black bear,wold,lynx and snow leopard. This national park is also famous for Sherpa community. It is also included in World Heritage Sites.
* Shey Phoksundo National Park Mugu & Dolpa Districts April-November The largest National Park covering an area of 3555 sq.km. Full of virgin forests harbouring one of the world's best habitat of snow-leopard, blue-sheep, ghoral, musk deer,wolf and other wildlife. Also known as hidden valley of crystal mountain.
* Bardia National Park Bardia District Oct-April This National Park includes some of the last remainings of grasslands that once covered much of wide varieties of animals such as deers, ungulates, monkeys & wild elephants.
* Rara National Park Jumla District Feb-April/Oct-Nov One of the smallest national park but scenic and covers one of the beautiful corniferous forests. This national park is named after pristine lake rara which is the biggest lake in Nepal.
* Khaptad National Park Doti,Bajang,Bajura,Accham Mar-Apr/Oct-Nov Khaptad is a plateau of grassland & forests at an elevation of about 3000 meter.
* Makalu Barun National Park Sankhuwasabha District Mar-Apr/Oct-Nov It has some of the richest & most unique pockets of plants & animals in Nepal,elsewhere lost to spreading human habitation. Wildlife includes Red Panda,Clouded leopard, black bear etc. Arun river system contains 84 varieties of fish.
* Shivapuri National Park 11 Km to the north of Kathmandu Sept-Jun/Jul-Aug It offers the nearest retreat from Kathmandu and includes 129 species of mushrooms, 19 species of mammals, 177 species of birds & 102 speciesof butterflies.
* Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve Rukum,Baglung,Myagdi Spring-Autumn This reserve is one of the prime habitats of Blue-sheep,a highly priced trophy animal. Controlled hunting is allowed with proper license & in certain seasons of the year.
* Parsa Wildlife Reserve Parsa District Oct-Mar/Apr-Jun/Jul-Sep It provides good habitat for animals like elephant, tiger, leopard, sloth bear, gaur and wild dog. Vegatation is tropical and sub tropical covered with Sal forests.
* Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve Saptari and Sunsari Districts Oct-Mar/Apr-Jun/Jul-Sep It is a bird watcher's paradise and has been
 recognized as a Wetland Site from 1987.
* Sukla Phanta Wildlife Reserve Mahendranagar District Feb-Mar/Dec-Jan/Apr-Jun It is Nepal's second largest wildlife reserve in
Terai. Originally a hunting area, this reserve
was converted to wildlife reserve to protect
swamp deer.
* Kanchanjunga Conservation Area Taplejung District Mar-May/ Sep-Nov It is a habitat of various species of mammals
including endangered snow leopard, musk deer
, red panda, blue sheep and rhesus monkey. It
 includes 30 varieties of rhododendron species
 and 48 varieties of orchids.
* Annapurna Conservation Area Mount Annapurna Region Throughout the year This place is recognized as a natural paradise.
 Upper sub-alpine forest harboures rare animals such as leopards & blue-sheep. This conservationarea is an exemplerary destination for eco-tourism.
Manaslu Conservation Area Gorkha District Mar-May/ Sep-Nov This area is a classic setting to experience
 pristine mountain nature and culture.
Bird watching

 water birds.
* Migratory Birds Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, Rara

* Crane watch Jomsom/Mustang September last week till
Mid October
This is an ideal place to sight the migratory cranes. Flight to Pokhara & four-five days trekking to reach Jomsom.
* Pheasant watch Pipa-Annapurna region All seasons Piper is a small reserve situated in the southeast of Annapurna conservation area. In this area, there are more than seven different kinds of Pheasant.
